Six months old and fun at daycare

Milo is six months old and loving life. He is eating solids, going to daycare and making new friends. I have been back at work for a couple of weeks now and everything is going well. Work is busy and exciting, not too challenging to transition from the relaxing world of life at home with a baby to the fast pace of managing a media marketing communications office !! ha ha.

Daycare seems to be working out well, although we are juggling between two daycare centres until the end of May, which means a bit more running around for me on Mondays. Milo comes home 'grubby' indicating a day of fun and adventure which is great stimulation and good for his development. Hasn't yet graduated to full crawling,but shows all the signs of wanting to get there.

Red rash and getting ready for daycare

Milo has had a nasty red rash all over his body, a high temperature and sporadic bouts of vomiting. Ed and I have made a couple of trips to Starship and Milo threw up in the doctors surgery so all in all it has been quite a dramatic week. We will be relieved when it is behind us and our wee boy is back to his happy self. With my returning to work part time next week, the timing has not been ideal, Milo has gone off his food, won't drink from the bottle and the creche have said 'stay away'. So, I have delayed going back to work until Thursday (17 April) and we are going to have a concerted focus on food and bottles over the weekend.

Despite illness, Milo is still progressing through his milestones. He has moved through rolling, to creepy crawling and is sitting unassisted for short periods of time. He knows Mum and Dad, turns his head when he hears his name, and of course he is just gorgeous.
